Futures come and go with those who envision them. Some futures are realized, some eventually turn into the past. Some futures remain dreamable and shape the dreams of generations to come. Many futures are lost in the present and await to be redreamed.
„Days of Future Past“ is an interdisciplinary seminar for international students at HU Berlin. Remembering Hedwig Dohm, Clara Zetkin, Ulrike Meinhof and Audre Lorde this seminar investigates Berlin as a place of feminist struggles. Creative writing is a tool of investigation as well as a way of connecting the struggles of these women with what is alive in us.
Connecting with the visions of past feminist struggles broadens our understandings of feminisms and our possibilities of action. Visions of futures from the past dare us to dream and to put our own visions into words.
At the public reading on February 2nd, 2017 students from this seminar will read their creative writing on the stage of the f.a.q Infoladen (Jonasstr. 40, 12053 Berlin). The bar will open at 6pm, the reading will start at 7pm.
All genders welcome. The reading will be mostly in English. Please invite your friends
