Fat share!
Come share with other fat people and allies of fat activism!
On May 23 at 6 p.m. we will meet at @Faq_infoladen to exchange clothes, books, zines,
stickers and crafts! To drink and eat delicious snacks, share experiences and knowledge,
to support each other, connect and have fun! There will also be a talk with fat activist
Magda Piñeyro (more info below)
This event will be held in English and Spanish, if you need help understanding anything,
let us know!

Entrance: We ask for a small voluntary donation at the entrance. However, no one will be
excluded due to lack of financial resources.

Awareness policy:
This is an intersectional space focused on fat people, but we want to make safe the space
for everyone so we have an awareness concept that you can also read in a protocol when you
arrive at the event.
- We don´t assume the origin, race, abilities, gender and pronouns, or the general
identity of the people present at the event. Asking name and pronouns is welcome.
- We reject racist, xenophobic, enbyphobic, transphobic, queerphobic, speciesist, ableist,
classist, patriarchal and any other opression attitudes.
- We don´t comment on other people's bodies or appearance.
- We don´t comment on eating habits, diets, weight. We can tell our experiences about
fatphobic violence and talk about ED, however we can agree on how we do it. If this is a
trigger for someone, we will try to find a way to create a safe space for everyone.

Who can attend the event?
-People positioned as fat and people who have been fat or have experienced fatphobia
closely and are allies.
How do I know if I am fat?
- You have suffered or are suffering several of these experiences: Harassment in public
and private spaces due to the size of your body; medical violence (pathologization,
diet recommendations instead of diagnostic evaluation/treatment, invalidation,
fatphobic comments, lack of medical resources, e.g. machines, for correct diagnosis/
treatment); you can't find clothes in your size in clothing chains (or only online);
problems accessing the labor system due to the size of your body or problems accessing
more relevant positions in the labor hierarchy; social margination; fetishization or
rejection in romantic and/or sexual relationships; lack of representation in the media,
social networks, movies, series, books, etc.; problems accessing public and private
spaces (public transportation, beds, seats and chairs, doors, other types of barriers);
prejudices about your exercise and eating habits, your physical and intellectual
abilities.

We will also have the privilege of having the presence of @magda_pineyro, with whom we
can chat and create ties in the fight against fatphobia. Magda is a fat activist,
anti-racist, intersectional feminist based in the Canary Islands. She is a staunch
defender of these islands against the massive and capitalist tourist occupation that
currently desolates the area.
She is a pioneer in fat activism in the Spanish State, having initiated a wave of fat
activism unprecedented up to that point along with other fat activists. She is the
author of two successful books ("Stop Gordofobia" and "Diez gritos contra la
gordofobia"). She also teaches fatphobia awareness and body diversity empowerment
workshops.
This is a self-organized event with very few material and personal resources. We would
like to raise money to cover Magda's stay in Germany and her participation in an
informal talk. We call for participation!!

Activities:
- We are looking for people who want to donate or sell their fat-themed books, zines,
stickers/crafts. Part of the donations will be used to finance Magda's stay.
- Bring your homemade cookies, cakes or snacks to donate! We would like to sell them at
popular prices. We need vegan, gluten free, sugar free, etc. options.
- We need someone who can take shifts at the bar to serve drinks and tea for the space.
- Bring your clothes for exchange!! Starting at size 48. We will provide a table or
small space where you can donate the clothes you no longer want and find new treasures!
Clothes must be in good condition, clean and folded.
Information about the space:
We have an air filtration machine with a 'HEPA filter', and we also have ramps that make
the f.a.c.q. be accessible to most (unfortunately, the toilet is not usable for all
wheelchair users as it is relatively small and reconstructed in a DIY style).
We have some high chairs in the bar area, some sofas, armchairs and comfortable and not
so comfortable chairs.
Let us know how we can make the space more inclusive and welcoming for you by contacting
via IG at @sufi_zu_viel, writing an email to anekh13@hotmail.com or directly to
@faq_infoladen.
